Medical Interpreting Consortium Print E-mail
Written by Michael Labadie

The goals of Public Access Project, LLC, are to create greater access for deaf people everywhere.  It is our belief that ‘access to communication is everyone’s right!’

That said, there are so many places and situations that are NOT accessible.  So we are reaching out to the practitioners of interpreting, who are on the front lines everyday trying to make a difference.  Whether in the board room, on the phone, in the hospital or anywhere, interpreters are key players in creating that access to communication.  We fully support the organized efforts of freelance interpreters as they contract with businesses and institutions to provide services.

MIC (Medical Interpreting Consortium) is a special project of high priority for Public Access Project.  We believe only the most qualified and knowledgeable interpreters belong in hospitals, clinics, and doctor’s offices providing the deaf patient and medical team full access to communication.  Are you one of them?
